Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has arrived in France for a three-day visit. French President Emmanuel Macron invited President Tinubu to Paris. The Nigerian leader landed at Orly Airport, Paris, on Wednesday, 27 November 2024.

Bayo Onanuga, the Presidential Spokesman, shared that President Macron and his wife, Brigitte, will welcome President Tinubu and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the historic Les Invalides and the Élysée Palace. The welcome will include official ceremonies and bilateral discussions.

During his stay, President Tinubu plans to discuss agriculture, education, new innovations, security, health, youth engagement, and energy transitions.

The visit aims to strengthen and foster economic, social, and cultural ties between the two countries. It will also focus on youth-oriented exchange programmes in automation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.

Both leaders will engage in political and diplomatic meetings and will also attend a session of the France-Nigeria Business Council, which oversees private sector participation in economic development.
