After 2016, United States of America is set again to select leaders that would shape the affairs of America for the next four years.
This tough contest is between incumbent President, Donald Trump and his rival Joe Biden.
Everybody believes that today’s battle is not just a matter of Republican and Democrat, rather it’s another event that would draw a parallel direction for global movement in times to come.
America being a universal power is a major factor that has attracted attention of all nations of the world as citizens exercise their franchise today.
However, so many things have also been perceived to be cardinal pointers that will determine the outcome of this election in America.
So many Americans agree that Donald Trump is a controversial leader and totally lacks the capacity to unite the multi racial country both internally and externally.
The withdrawal of America from Paris global Climate change agreement by President Donald Trump didn’t go down well with Americans.
President Trump had also backed out on American – Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, agreement. NATO is a military alliance between 30 American and European countries.
During his first tenure, Trump had also breached the Pakistan agreement with America.
Beyond these international disagreements, most Americans believe that the present administration has witnessed an increase in maltreatment of blacks in America by men of the police force with little or no concern from Donald Trump.
In addition, Trump’s inability to ground COVID-19 Pandemic in the country might be another factor that would push him out of office. Americans believe that the President is not committed to doing enough with the country’s resources in the fight against coronavirus.
Another non negligible factor that would be giving incumbent President Donald Trump a difficult moment is the support of former President Barrack Obama to his rival Joe Biden.
Obama has been confirmed to be fully supporting Joe Biden whom he believes has the capacity to unite America with a more inclusive policy. Take it or leave it, the influence of Barrack Obama cannot be sidelined in today’s poll.
Again, the early lead of Trump’s rival, Joe Biden is likely to keep swinging voters to his side, although analysts have ruled that it’s still not a guarantee for Biden going by 2016 election where Hillary Clinton was leading with a wider margin but finally failed to emerge victorious.
Meanwhile, President Trump still wields high hope of returning to the seat of power despite the shortfalls that have characterized his government.
Trump’s pairing with Mike Pence is a standing advantage that will draw Christian voters to him. Mike Pence who is an Evangelical is reportedly enjoying support of core Christians in America.
Secondly, it’s on record that American economy has been on elevation side before the encroachment of Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, Americans agree that President Donald Trump has the ability to manage and grow American economy.
This time the age factor might also be working for Donald Trump who is relatively younger than his opponent.
A public impression in America spells that Joe Biden is going through memory loss as a result of old age, hence, lacks the capacity to lead the country.
Soon the chips will be down and the world will know who is who; before the end of today, Americans will decide who will occupy white house for the next four years, Donald Trump or Joe Biden?
