The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has released a memo to announce the official commencement and registration of the 2023/2024 scholarship programme for post-graduate applicants.
This announcement was made via the commission’s website: www.nddc.gov.ng. This scholarship is a foreign post-graduate programme (Master’s Degree) meant to equip young people of the Niger Delta area with relevant training and skills for effective participation in the local content programme of the Federal Government, as well as enable them to acquire specialization in their fields of study and compete globally in various professional disciplines.
The President of the Niger Delta Students Union Government (NIDSUG), Comr. Scott Uyiosasere Ogunseri, has advised students of the Niger Delta area to avoid being defrauded because the commission will not ask applicants to pay money for registration, as the registration is free.
However, the scholarship is open to some selected professional disciplines, which include the following:

▪️ Marine Engineering
▪️ Mechanical Engineering
▪️ Electrical/Electronic Engineering
▪️ Robotic Engineering
▪️ Information Technology
▪️ Artificial Intelligence
▪️ Math/Sciences
▪️ Medical Sciences
▪️ Hospitality Management
▪️ Law
▪️ Architecture
▪️ Environmental Science.
The application process can be done through: https://scholarship.nddc.gov.ng/login for interested persons who hail from the Niger Delta area and possess a bachelor’s degree in any of the aforementioned professional disciplines.
