As Muslims across the world mark the joyous occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, student leaders from the National Association of University Students (NAUS) and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have extended their heartfelt felicitations, emphasising unity and togetherness in student unionism.
The National Vice President of NAUS, South-South Zone, Comr. Micheal Imoloame, conveyed his best wishes to all Muslim students and the entire NAUS community. In a statement issued by his Director on Strategic Communications and Public Relations, Rt. Hon. Collins Odabi, on Sunday, 30th March 2025, he expressed:
“May this special day bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to you and your loved ones.”
He further urged Muslim faithful to uphold the values of unity, compassion, and perseverance, which are fundamental to building a stronger and more inclusive academic environment. Concluding his message, Comr. Micheal encouraged students to embrace oneness and togetherness, wishing all a happy and blessed Eid Al-Fitr.
Similarly, the Director of Action and Mobilization, NANS JCC, Edo Axis, Comr. Daniel Temple Ogheberioborue, also extended warm greetings to Muslim students, underscoring the significance of faith, sacrifice, love, and unity during this festive period. He highlighted Eid Al-Fitr as a time for renewal, reflection, and gratitude.
Expressing hope that the lessons of Ramadan would inspire peace, compassion, and progress, he stated:
“May our homes be filled with happiness, our hearts with contentment, and our society with harmony.”
Both student leaders reiterated the importance of collective growth and peaceful coexistence within the student body, urging all to nurture a spirit of unity beyond the festivities.
