NAUS CMC Edo State Chapter To Celebrate International Day of the Girl Child In Female Hostels

In honour of the International Day of the Girl Child, the National Association of University Students, Campus Monitoring Committee (NAUS CMC), Edo State chapter, under the leadership of Comr. Osahon Eseosa Destiny, is coming together to celebrate and support the girl child.

The globally recognized International Day of the Girl Child, occurring on October 11, 2023, will be marked with a special initiative by the NAUS CMC Change-maker Executives of the Edo State chapter. This initiative aims to show solidarity with the girl child and extend a helping hand to female students.

The one-day outreach event, organized by the NAUS CMC Executives of the Edo State chapter, is scheduled to take place at Ambrose Alli University’s female hostels at 10:00 AM and the University of Benin’s female hostels at 3:00 PM on October 11, 2023. The outreach program includes:

• Raising awareness and providing education on female sanitary hygiene.
• Promoting the security and safety of female students within the university.
• Highlighting the significance of the NAUS CMC within the female student community.
• Distribution of 600 sanitary pads to support female students.

This noble initiative by NAUS CMC Edo State chapter will underscore the importance of empowering and uplifting the girl child, ensuring their well-being and success in higher education. It’s a testament to their commitment to gender equality and female empowerment.
