In an exclusive interview conducted by the Association of Campus Journalists, University of Benin (ACJ UNIBEN) on July 3, 2023, HRH Ewemade Amadin Morrison, the Enogie of the National Union of Benin Students Association for the 2021/2022 academic session, shed light on the first meeting to be held by his Administration. The meeting, which is slated for 4PM on Thursday, June 6, 2023, at the Hall 2 reading room, is the first meeting of the semester. The association, which has been in existence since 1972, held its last meeting on May 4, 2023.

When asked about some of the achievements of the union, HRH Ewemade Amadin Morrison, a 400L student of Political Science Education, claimed that the union provides scholarships to indigenous students. He also added that the union offers welfare packages, hostel accommodations, IT placements, career programs for members, and social awareness programmes on the history and culture of Benin. When asked if the scholarship is funded by the Edo state government, he clarified that the scholarship is sponsored by a private firm.

Listing the agenda for the meeting, HRH Ewemade Amadin Morrison outlined;

– Drama presentation
– Story time
– Committee (HAMAs) inauguration
– AOB (Any Other Business)
– Song rendition
– Closing formalities

He further urged every Benin indigene to be present for the forthcoming meeting as there are many benefits in store for them.
