The Stakeholders of the National Association of Delta State Students, UNIBEN/UBTH Chapter (NADESSTU) has filed a petition against the President of the Association, Eyituoyo Ebuhon, for fraud, misrepresentation and abuse of office.

In a petition addressed to the Dean of the Students’ Affairs Division on March 4, 2025, Ajunwa Chidi Miracle, on behalf of other key stakeholders, has demanded for a thorough investigation into the President and the Staff Advisor of the Association for fraudulent and unethical activities. It was reported that the current President, Eyituoyo Ebuhon, is not an indigene of Delta State as she claimed but rather Owan, Edo State. Her claim allowed her contest and assume the office which is meant for Deltans.

The Staff Advisor, Professor Charles Egweree, was accused of aiding Eyituoyo assume the office by eliminating viable candidates against her, making her stand unopposed. It was also reported that Prof. Egweree appointed Fortune Agwa as the Electoral Chairman against the constitution and used him to push a constitutional amendment that diverted 10% of NADESSTU funds to him.

Stating how the financial records of the association remained unclear to the members under the Eyituoyo Ebuhon’s administration, the petition also established how the Vice President of the association reportedly impeached the PRO.

“We have just also found out that one of her accomplices, the Vice President NADESSTU, upon seeing the petition sent in by the association’s PRO has illegitimately ‘impeached’ the PRO via an unconstitutional memo and removed him from the executive/other NADESSTU groups”

The stakeholders have demanded for the suspension of the President, Vice President and Staff Advisor. They have also demanded for the audit of NADESSTU finances as well as an immediate disciplinary action against Eyituoyo Ebuhon and, Prof. Egweree and Fortune Agwa for fraud and, abuse of office and electoral fraud respectively. They have also called for the nullification of the 2024 NADESSTU elections, a constitutional review and the immediate suspension of Itsekiri house from contesting in for elections.
