Lionel Messi’s strike for PSG against Benfica on Matchday 3 of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League season has won fans vote for goal of the season. The top ten goals of the 2022/23 competition were selected my UEFA’s technical observer panel, and then put to a fan poll. Man City Erling Haaland’s acrobatic effort against Dortmund on Matchday 2 which topped the expert list was pushed to 3rd on the fans list also trailing Real Madrid Vinicius Junior’s fine finish against Man city in the semi-final.
