In a proactive move towards environmental stewardship, the Junior Chamber International Nigeria, UNIBEN (JCIN UNIBEN), is gearing up for an extensive clean-up initiative set to take place on 27th January 2024, at the University of Benin.

Collaborating with various faculties, clubs, businesses, and organisations, JCIN UNIBEN envisions mobilising a formidable force of one thousand volunteers to engage in a transformative campus clean-up, according to a source.

This ambitious project aims to not only elevate the overall environmental quality but also instil a sense of responsibility for waste management within the university community. The primary objectives encompass Waste Reduction and Disposal Improvement, Awareness and Education, Community Engagement, Sustainability Integration, Measurable Impact, and Long-term Sustainability.

As the anticipation builds for the forthcoming Campus Cleanup Campaign, the collaboration between JCIN UNIBEN and diverse stakeholders showcases a collective commitment to fostering positive change. This initiative not only promises a cleaner and more sustainable university environment but also underscores the significance of community involvement in shaping a greener future.
