Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has swiftly intervened in the case of Mmesoma Joy Ejikeme, a young student who recently attempted suicide after she made a confession about forging her jamb results.

Mmesoma’s desperate act came just hours after a video of her contemplating suicide went viral on social media platforms, drawing a lot of concern from the public.

Governor Soludo took immediate action after learning about the distressing situation. In a letter addressed to the principal of Anglican Girls Secondary School Nnewi, where Mmesoma is enrolled, he ordered that she be handed over to the state guidance counselor and a professor of clinical psychology for necessary psychological evaluation and support.

The governor emphasized the urgency of the matter, insisting that Mmesoma’s counseling and therapy sessions commence without any delay.
