The entire 300-level class celebrated their victory over their seniors, the final-year students, for the Head of Department (HOD) Cup.
The final which was played on the 11th of February 2024, the Department of Geology kicked off the final match for the HOD Cup, 2023, at 11 am.
The match was between the Final Year class (400 level) and the penultimate class (300 level).
The match duration was an hour, with the 300-level class emerging victorious over the 400-level class with a match score of: 300 level 3:1 400 level. They defeated their rivals with 2 goal points.
The match ceremony ended with the staff of the department, Dr. Igbinigie, handing over the trophy, which is the HOD Cup, to the 300-level students.
