A fire outbreak has been reported in a 10 storey building located on Broad Street, Lagos Island Local Government Area, Lagos State. This outbreak reportedly started in the mid afternoon of Sunday, January 21, 2024.
At the time of filing this report the cause of the fire is still unknown. The fire reportedly started on the first floor of the building and has spread to the fourth floor.
The Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, has disclosed that officials of the Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations have been currently deployed to the scene to curb any further escalation of the fire.
