Experts set to Gather at UNIBEN Security Summit 2024 to Discuss Effective Security Strategies

The University of Benin is set to host its 2024 Security Summit, themed “Towards Effective Security Operations and Ethics,” from June 5th to 7th, 2024. The event, scheduled to take place at the Akin Deko Auditorium, Ugbowo Campus, promises to bring together security experts and stakeholders to discuss and address pressing security concerns.

The summit, hosted by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lilian Imuetiyan Salami, will feature a keynote address by Dr. Solomon Arase, Chairman of the Police Service Commission. Prof. F.O. Ekhaise, Chairman of the Security Committee, University of Benin, and Mr. A.O. EYAROYI, Ag. Chief Security Officer, University of Benin, will also play host to the event.

According to theme, it is indicative that the Security Summit aims to provide a platform for discussions on effective security operations, ethics, and best practices, with a focus on addressing the security challenges facing the university community and the nation at large.
