Educating and Exciting Faculty Lecture Series of The Faculty Of Social Sciences

The program which was scheduled to hold on the 25th of October and begin by 10:00 am, due to unforeseen circumstances, commenced at exactly 10:24 am, with a welcome speech and Introduction of Mr Osemede Evbakhavbokun, the C.E.O of Modessy, Prof. Dokpesi, the H.O.D of Sociology and Anthropology, the Dean of Social sciences, Prof. Kingsley Omoroviwa, the Representative of the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of Faculty of Education, amongst others.

The opening prayer was taken by the H.O.D of Public admin. The national anthem and School anthem were taken; Prof. Daniel A. Tonwe was welcomed to give the opening remarks and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Representative of V.C. gave an open speech on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lilian Imuetiyan. A professor was called upon to read the citation of the Lecturer and Speaker for the day, Mr Osemede Evbakhavbokun.

The Speaker, Mr Osemede, was called upon to begin the Lecture. He began by showing his appreciation to the Lecturers, and then he commenced the lecture with the topic, “Digesting the compulsion of Transitions, the Journey of a Sociologist to C.N.G ( Compressed Natural Gas) “. He concluded that there are several transition stages in our lives; as we grow, we transit to another level, and how these levels are maximized matters a lot.

Prof. Earnest Udiagbe was acknowledged, and Prof. Dokpesi Augustine, the Head of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, was called on to give the closing remarks. Some contributors to the solar project were acknowledged, Mr Isaac, Joseph, Hope Abijo, Chief Emaseye, Dr.Surulola, Barrister Lucky, Perckens, Mr Osayende, Barr Abubakar Yusuf, Destiny Shapers Academy, Mrs Ameh Yusuf, Osomele Global Nigeria Etc. The program ended with a closing prayer given by Mrs Egafuna.
