In a significant development, the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has commenced payment of the 2022/2023 Students Special Assistance Scheme (Bursary Award) to all students of Delta State origin in all tertiary institutions.

The information was contained in a memo released earlier today, 20th February 2024, signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Godfrey O. Enita. Part of the memo reads: “_Payment will be made only to students of Delta State origin in various tertiary institutions across the country who duly registered for the 2022/2023 session and were verified and cleared by their respective institutions and the Scholarship Board._”

This announcement will come as a huge sigh of relief to Delta State students who have eagerly anticipated the payment of the bursary after months of agitation.
