The management of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) has revealed reasons behind the delay in the payment of the NYSC Corps members’ June allowance.

The institution stated that the arrangements of the allowance were made and completed on the 27th of June 2023, and the remittances were made to various banks the same day. The institution also stated that the delay was due to the administration of funds by various banks who are yet to credit Corps members account.

NYSC Director of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, stated that the institution is earnestly communicating with the banks for fast-track payment of the June allowance. The Director urges all Corps members to remain calm, law-abiding and dutiful in their respective place of national service, as the issues will be treated with utmost priority.
