The Management of the University of Benin has reiterated that it will not condone the practice whereby students campaigning for their union elective offices deface walls, doors, and windows of classrooms as well as Halls of residence and other surfaces with campaign posters and graffiti.

The Management, through the school’s Public Relations Unit, stated that such acts and the indiscriminate placement of posters of any kind remain prohibited, also warning that students whose campaign posters are seen in unauthorised places risk disqualification from the electoral process while other offenders will also be sanctioned appropriately.

The management of the University reiterates its commitment to a decent and condusive environment for learning and will not tolerate attempts to impede the roundly applauded beautification work of the Salami Administration.

“Please be guided,” the management said.
