The vigilante squad of Ekosodin community has pleaded for maximum cooperation with the students of University of Benin.

In an exclusive interview with a team of campus Journalists, a stakeholder and former secretary Mr Uyi called on students who reside in the community to work with members of the vigilante team.

Uyi, who spoke to our correspondents today, on behalf of the community leadership expressed that synergy between the community and students would go a long way to foster adequate security of lives and property in the area.

It would be recalled that the Vice Chancellor, University of Benin, Prof Lilian Salami had visited the community on Wednesday where she held a closed door meeting with security operatives in the area.

Mr Uyi disclosed that the meeting provided a unique opportunity for interaction between Prof. Salami and leaders of the Ekosodin community as the Vice Chancellor reiterated the commitment of her administration towards ensuring adequate protection of students and staff of the institution.
