Twenty-three-year-old Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has responded to the constant criticism from Chelsea club legend John Obi Mikel. Jackson’s response came after the impressive 6:2 victory of Chelsea over Wolverhampton.
John Obi Mikel has recently been airing his opinions on African football, Chelsea Club, and football in general during The Obi One podcast. The club legend shared during his punditry with beIN SPORTS last week that Chelsea club needed a striker after the 2:0 loss to Manchester City. He stated that “you need a striker who knows how to hit a ball back in the back of the net, and that’s what we don’t have.” The club Legend accepted talking a lot about Nicolas Jackson and stated that he doesn’t disrespect him.
Nicolas Jackson scored an opener for Chelsea in their match against Wolverhampton. According to 433, the striker scored Chelsea’s fastest Premier League goal since 2017, scoring a goal 98 seconds into the match. After the match, the Senegalase striker shared a post on his Instagram story with the caption “@mikel-John-obi, Shut your mouth, don’t talk shit; we are killing ourselves for Africa.”
The response of Nicolas Jackson has met with divided opinions from blues fans and fans of football. Some are of the opinion that the club legend deserved the clapback, while others believe that the young Senegalese striker has disrespected the legend. Chelsea club legend John Obi Mikel is yet to respond to the clapback from Nicolas Jackson.
