By Oyinlola Ayomide

The Chancellor of Covenant University, Dr. Daniel Olaniyi Oyedepo, has recently addressed the graduating students of the university, highlighting the importance of embracing indigenous solutions to address challenges. Dr. Oyedepo stressed that foreign activities cannot replace domestic collaboration in finding solutions to difficulties.

He passionately emphasized the need for Africa to rediscover its unique identity, stating, “Wherever there is liberation, nobility is revived.” He firmly believed that indigenous solutions hold the key to enduring answers.

Dr. Oyedepo further articulated that Africa should not shy away from its challenges but should actively seek to provide appropriate solutions to these problems. He underscored Covenant University’s mission to elevate the nobility of the black race by nurturing employers rather than employees.

He also shared that the university’s overarching goal is to transform students into inventors, experts, and technology enthusiasts across various fields of study, thus reinvigorating the significance of the university environment in Africa.
