“I go use this ASUU strike cover my courses.”
“I will use this strike to learn new things. This time cannot waste.”
“This strike will give me time to restructure my plans.”
The one month strike is coming to a wrap, and nothing has been done. “Dem go extend the strike joor.” Right? But then, has the one month plan been drafted, how much more executed? Mind you, there are cankerworms of time, athough they may not seem worthy to be taken note of, but they affect our academic performance and other aspect of our lives.
LAZINESS
“I command the spirit of reading to come upon me.” Laziness has already crowned you.
“I need to sleep more for strength.” Stop looking for motivation where there is none.
That online course has started but you refuse to click on that link.
“No be you go tell me wetin I go use my time do.” Really? How lackadaisical.
You are already getting tired of reading, please do not partner with laziness.
Procrastination
“The strike just started. Wo, I will start after the second week, make I rest small.” This is the third week, and nothing has happened.
“Let me check update online first.” We, most of the time, put off tasks because of frivolous activities. Putting off tasks does not propel the tasks to get done themselves. They pile up, with glasses on, waiting for you to start.
Comrade, stand up and start up something productive. E get why! Deadlines, schedules, plans, cannot be met up with by not doing the right thing at the right time. Have a productive holiday, oh sorry, “strike”, or whichever you choose to call it. Remember, “Even if you are not ready for the night, it can’t always be day.” Time waits for no one.
