The second day of the Okpella Education Awareness Tour 2025 landed in Awuyemi and it was indeed a remarkable stop. The event started with Mr. Richard, who delivered deep and practical insights that intrigued and stirred the audience. Afterwards, Mrs. Dora Ikioda, followed and her words were uplifting, so they also left a lasting impact on the students. Also in attendance was the Chief Inspector of Education, representing the Honourable Commissioner for Education, thus lending official support to the cause.
The highlight of the day was the Mathematics and English Quiz Competitions, a thrilling showdown and academic/fun activity that had students competing in all vigour, and the organisers ran out of questions and had to go into extra rounds of quizzes. Every one of the schools in attendance came prepared, showcasing sharp intellectual skills, alongside resilience and determination.
The strong and solid support the community displayed was quite evident, especially from the Okpella Women Association Worldwide (OWAN) whose active involvement in the event added great value to the success of the day. Awuyemi brought the energy, excellence, and unity in play. And with high spirits, the tour moves forward, fueled by the momentum and excitement of yet another impactful day.
