The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola ahmed Tinubu, has conferred national honours on all members of the Super Eagles team that participated in the just-concluded African Cup of Nations Tournament (AFCON).
Tinubu received the team at the Aso Villa earlier today, hosting them. His excellency bestowed on each member the national honour of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
The Super Eagles team of Nigeria were surperb throughout the tournament , losing none till up to the finals, where they lost the cup to The Elephants, their African counterparts and hosts, Ivory Coast national football team
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, acknowledging their achievements, has given each member of the team a plot of land and a flat in an undisclosed location in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as permitted by the Federal Government.
