The Students’ Union Government (SUG) election held on Thursday, 24th July 2025, concluded with Bright Paul emerging victorious as president with a total of 1,858 votes, defeating his opponents in the race of becoming the leader of the Students’ Union Executives.

The results released by the Electoral Officer saw Joseph Blessing Nneoson clinch the position of the Vice President, securing 1,053 votes, defeating Johnson Esther Oyimen who garnered 838 votes.

In the Attorney General race, Orji Joy Orie won with 902 votes, while Abah Joseph Oyame received 317 votes.

Julius Oghene Godstime was elected as the Director of Socials with 347 votes, and Amami William Agogho emerged as Secretary General with 524 votes.

For the position of Director of Sports, Arokheta Sanni polled 446 votes.

The Public Relations Officer position was clinched by Ohiorenua Goddwin Ahong with 553 votes, ahead of Evah Orevaoghene who had 375 votes.

Ogagaoghene Prosper Vwegba won the post of Director of Finance with 388 votes, while Egbueze Uchechukwu Micheal was elected Director of Welfare with 380 votes, defeating Uduah Abigail who got 273 votes.

As the newly elected leaders prepare to take office, students across campus look forward to seeing the promises made during the campaigns and manifestos transformed into meaningful actions. The election marks a new chapter for student leadership, with high hopes for a progressive and impactful tenure.
